Sending data via WIFI

I have been using OpenCPN to aggregate and display my NMEA data sources on a laptop at my nav station, but I am missing out a lot of the time because I don’t spend much time below when I’m sailing.
I use an iphone in the cockpit with ISailor for real-time navigation (it’s water and weather proof), but I note that the app can consume AIS and depth data, presumably from a WIFI source.
Is it possible to get OpenCPN to repeat this data to WIFI?
