E-rigging.com reviews?

I'm about to purchase 200' of 3/8 G4 chain and have been price shopping. E-rigging.com has the best price at $4.39/ft. Just wanted to make sure they are a reliable vendor before I purchase. Defender is within $.06/ft so I can stomache the extra cost there for piece of mind if nobody has heard of the site listed above.

As always, thanks in advance!

Just be sure you have them put oversized links at either end.

Re: E-rigging.com reviews?

Ok. Bought a reel of rope. Was delighted. Bought another. Mind you, these reels are expensive since it's just for me. I'm building a boat. Second reel arrived 2/3 the size of the first reel due to a different manufacture and differences in OD etc. I asked what was up about that and expected a song and a dance. NOOOOO! Their no bull line is true. They bent over backwards and shipped new line and gave me a shipping label to return the other line. All because I "desired" it to match. When the hell do people do that for you??????? Five stars. No - 10 stars. Thank you so much e-rigging. And people, I don't know e-rigging. Just a regular guy making a boat for myself.

Seems to me that $12 is pretty cheap for piece of mind on $869 worth of chain.

Yeah, that’s what I said two years ago when I bought it. Went to a local hardware store and got the best price around.

Why? You must be confusing it with G7.

Any recent purchases from E-rigging?
Good? Bad?
I need 300' of 5/16 G4 galvanized anchor chain. Their price is significantly less than either Fisheries or WM.

Re: E-rigging.com reviews?

e rigging gets consistently bad reviews. Rigging only Rigging Only
is good.
But for anchor chain, you want brand name through an outlet who will honor a warranty claim if you end up with a bad batch.

Yeah, I think I'm talking myself out of purchasing from any company I don't know and trust. Thanks.

Re: E-rigging.com reviews?

I'd think the vendor matters less than the chain manufacturer. Aren't Acco and Maggi the two big names for chain? Shop for the best deal on brands, not on just the item in general.
Same with rope. I don't care who I get it from, I care who made it.

Re: E-rigging.com reviews?

I ended up purchasing my chain from a local hardware store here in cocoa, Fl. They're called travis hardware and consistently have the best prices I can find for anything metal related. All my stainless screws and bolts, hose clamps etc. You could call them and ask if they will ship.

Also that original chain purchase happened 4 years ago now and the chain is still in great shape. It is ACCO I believe. Just took it all out to repaint some new length markers and very minimal rust stains.
