Hi!
I'm looking for a new radio (a carradio, to listen music) in my boat and I'm looking for a model that doesn't "forgets" the radio stations memories when I leave the boat (because I disconnect the battery). Do you know any model that does that?

If you hook it up properly with the always hot wire to the battery they all will remember, otherwise they all will forget as far as I know. Its a very low draw and if you have a battery tender running it would be fine.

I believe although I have never done it that you can hook a 9V transistor battery to the keep alive wire on the radio and it will work for a month or two.
Just have the battery turned on when you change the 9V.

Then again, maybe that is a legend

It should work, I suppose you could even buy a small portable solar charger and hook up to keep just the radio battery charged...

Tools like this are used for changing batteries in automobiles, plug it into the lighter socket, then R&R car battery, never bothered myself.
I believe most cars fuel injection computers will forget the settings so to speak that it has saved from the O2 sensor to trim the fuel, but of course it quickly relearns them

I installed a new head unit with Bluetooth. Which is awesome.

I had the same issue, every time I turned it on the Bluetooth would reset and all the stations were lost. That lasted about a day and I ran the power cable to the battery bypassing the battery switch. So the stereo switches off when I kill the battery but the memory still has power. The draw isn't even worth talking about assuming you have at least a car battery sized bank.

The draw is so little... just connect it to an always on circuit... like the bilge pump...

Memory... a few sets of five stations??? Use seek or scan... when you cruise the presents don't work often.

Another option is to use your smart phone and a radio station APP... you can have favorites... and listen to it on a blue tooth speaker.

I have a couple of car stereos on the boat... hardly ever use them anymore.

Wire it directly to the batteries, using the appropriately sized inline fuse.

The Fusion stereo I have doesn't require a connection to the battery for memory.
