Re: Duplex steel for deck fittings?

Plate, bar stock and tubing are readily available and cost for the amount needed for your applications should not be that much more than 316. 2205 is used in offshore oil and gas a lot. Good choice.

Re: March pump lc2cp

Depending on where you are, you might want to put a much larger stainer in. Tropics (including Texas and Florida) you're going to wish you went with a big one.

Re: Through hull valve stuck, am I missing something? Suggestions?

Doesn't look like there is anything attached to that sea cock. The valve looks similar to a spartan which is a metal to metal tapered design. These can be rebuilt. You have to lap the plug to the...

With Perkins you need the serial number off the engine not just the model number. There have been many different 4.236 engines. Good news is parts are available.

Re: Southwest Boat Show Houston March 21st

I think this show (in it's current configuration) has been around for two years. The first year was a little lean, but last year was much better. Many sailing type vendors. i.e. anchors, hardware,...

Re: Bayfield 25 Cruising Questions

I at one time had a Bayfield 25. Great little boat. I wouldn't think taking the mast down to be a one man job, but guess it could be done. When you say cruising, not sure what you meant, but the...

Re: main sail packing system
