'Nother Newbie

Hi all, hope to participate in some discussion soon. Wife and I just bought 84 Hunter 31, new to sailing, and just took her out for our first sail on friday. Although a couple tacks were a bit shaky, we did ok, and had a great sail around Vancouver's English Bay.
Talk again soon, have many questions,
Dave, on "Shorebird"

Wow congrats!! Just looked at a couple Hunters online this eve that we really like the look of!
Did you guys have ANY experience? How'd you execute your plan? Just curious....we're looking now, new to sailing, but husband has many years motorboat experience...
We'd be interested in hearing your experiences if your are amenable to sharing with fellow noobs?
Fair winds and hope to see ya 'round the forum

Re: 'Nother Newbie

Hi, yes we both took a week long "cruise and learn " aboard a Beneteau 36 a couple years ago, although I had done a little sailing before that. We logged over 100 miles on that cruise, and when we topped up the fuel tank on the last day, the bill came to under $13. I would still recommend a sailing course even with all the powerboat experience.
Regards,
David
