Hello from Toronto

I am new to this forum, leaving for our second chsarter in the BVI's in 10 days, always looking for information and news on cruising, BVI's and possibly retiring on a boat in the Carribean in the winter and on our C&C 34 in Toronto area in the summer.

Thank you for the offer, I am sure I will be able to find a wealth of information here, for future charters, and retirement options.
I am also looking for a boat that my father made, a Roberts Ketch 55, he sailed it from Oshawa Ontario to the Azores and then onto the Mediteranean, where he sold it in Gibraltor, early 90's. White hull, named Y Ddraig Goch (Welsh) The Red Dragon (English) The spinaker was the Red Dragon. Finding her would be awesome!

Aloha Sunrise,
Welcome aboard! I'll bet you find the weather a bit better in the Carib.
Kind regards,
JohnL

Welcome Sunrise09 - and what an incredibly optimistic moniker in these troubled times! Here's to hoping that there is truth in that for all of us.

I can't help with the whereabouts of your father's Roberts, but it is good to see that the sailing bug has been passed along. I'm sure you'll enjoy this site (albeit not as much as your charter and your break from this horrible 'Southern' Ontario winter).

Welcome aboard and have fun in the sun. Gonna be pretty chilly here for a few weeks more, but then it's spring. Yay!

Where do you keep the C&C?

We're at THSC.

Welcome aboard !

We did our first charter in the BVI last year and it was great. Which marina do you sail out of in the Toronto area ? I race ( on someone else's boat ) out Whitby

Same plan. Someday spend winters on a boat down south, summers back in Toronto.

We are leaving one week today for/ My boys are third generation sailors/racers. so the bug has been passed on.
