Hello from Toronto

Hello Everyone,

I live in downtown Toronto, and I love sailing. I am new to discussion boards in that I have never been an active member of one.

A little about me: I recently finished an undergrad in business, with a major in Finance. Working part time, with the economy in the shape that it is I have not been able to secure a suitable position as of yet. In terms of my sailing knowledge, I have all sailing levels up to and including my silver sail. I raced lasers competitively for a year or so. My family has a Beneteau 331, and my father and I have been on a few cruising adventures. (Nothing too crazy, we sailed to Manitoulin Island and back a few times.)

Anyways, it is nice to find other sailing enthusiasts and I look forward to participating. If anyone is looking for crew for racing downtown Toronto as well, please feel free to contact me.

Hello Jordan and welcome aboard. I suspect that you will find this to be an excellent site and who knows, you may end up with some crewing opportunites for next season.

If you want to crew just go down to any yacht club. They're always looking for crew. Try ABYC, a friendly club which keeps a crew bank and will get you a ride.

WELCOME,

I have never heard the term SILVER SAILS. I assume these are levels of sailing, but how are they aquired?
