Hi Adam, all depends on your vision of the outcome. If you are prepered to spend next years on building and invest in egzotic materials, yes, you will have good quality boat. If you intend to build to save money you will find that you are mistaken. Second hand market is full of other people dreams ofcheap entry to owning a boat.
