Hey Alphazag, sorry - half my message seemed to disappear....

Yep, Londoner here, away from UK 10 years now and not wanting to go back. Been three-quarters of world, but no actual Pacific crossing as yet. Currently very happy hanging out in the USVI's.....LOVE the Cribbian!!

Where you sailing?

Thanks for your interest! We have a plethora of wind and rain right now this evening, but it is forecast for the next 5 days so not sure all of it is connected with Ernesto. Had a great afternoon at the beach and then got cold, soaked and windblown rowing back to the boat, dammit! How can one be cold in the Cribbian????

Now watching the next little darlin' rolling off Africa which is already at 70% probability and modeled as heading this way or slightly north of the Virgins.

How's the weather in your neck of the woods?

Lee

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

Hey Lee, it worked out well this time..

Was watching a couple of our SSSSM friends sailing for cover. I haven't heard from Bev yet, but it looks like Aseka is fine too.

Hmmm..yep, I am also watching that little darlin' rolling off Africa.

@ Alphazag

There are a couple of lassies from the UK active in our SSSSM facebook group ... Sarah and Jennie, and I think Juliana is in Poland. Then there are some that are members but lurkers...:-) We have Michel in the UK and Ram in ..Greece. Just have to dip you toe into our little playpool to get to know everyone.

Sorry to hear its wet and cold there Lee. Unusual for early August? To answer your question, nice as usual, getting hotter. Good wind around the Channel Islands.

uk solent currently, but aiming to be med based for alternate weeks next summer due to work - rules out transatlantics - you're 5 years ahead of my plans!

Aaaah, the Solent.....a place where you can meet all sailing conditions in one day! Though the Med always seems to have too little wind or too much, maybe I was just unlucky.

5 years to wait for your Pond hop? Surely you can shorten that.....! Wish you good sailing in between.....
