Oil jugs are more descreet/opaque and have a fill gauge...and unlike the apple juice containrs a niebor uses.....there are no "accidents".

Never had that problem on a boat, but first time I had sex in a land house I did fog up the windows.

You use a public shower and go home at night (as opposed to the other people useing the public shower that don't have a place to go home to).
You know the point a boat becomes a home (my boat is more a home than any house I have ever lived in).

Probably for the same reason I run out of propane in the middle of cooking a big dinner for invited guests. (before I plumbed in my bulk propane I used the little green tanks and always ran out when baking).

You use your radar to check the size of a storm and track it.

When the toilet on the boat no longer feels small and the ones on land feel huge.

When the food in the fridge is packed in order of consumption.

When you look at your t shirt in the morning and think, the dirt's not that bad i can get an extra day out of it.

When you can brush and rinse your teeth in a half cup of water, shave in a large cup and have a full body wash in half a sink.

+1 There are only a couple things I envy- on the rare occasion- that I visit friends who live in houses...
* Bathrooms that have toilets that flush and
have TUBS! Ahhh.
* BIG refrigerators that dispense water & ice
from the door (I drink lots of water & it's so
handy!

But I got a bit disoriented when I first walked in a home with a vaulted ceiling -after years onboard-It was so high. Talking in the living room is so big i want to scoot a chair closer (cockpit is perfect size for conversation) And at night it was so still I tossed & turned all night. The boat is the best sleep machine!

Land just doesn't move right. A friend of mine was visiting in a house and was put in the guest room w/king size bed...in the middle of the night he moved to the couch.
