Well then again there is this one:Changing name of your sailing vessel
Be sure to document the play-by-play for us all!
The renaming ceremony is the most important. Similar to a decommissioning ceremony.
The renaming which must follow at a minimum of 24 hours after the denaming ceremony, ( to allow time for all those sneaky sea demons time to proprly disembark the now un named vessel) is identical to a proper original naming ceremony.

Re: Renegade Sailing Adventures.

Right now I am feeling very frustrated, I went out, put the hammer down hard and had just a it over 10 grand saved up that I was going to put towards paying the boat off, and I blew the engine in my truck.

So now instead of being in a really good position, all my money is going back into this thing and I am having to borrow a whole bunch more towards getting it fixed and I am going to be down the next couple of weeks while it gets fixed. Not thrilled about it.

Re: Renegade Sailing Adventures.

So I made some new friends tonight and I got to go sailing. It was pretty awesome finally being out on the water, it was a short trip but it left me smiling like I haven't smiled in a long time.

Too bad about the engine in your truck, and that's just life getting in the way of your plans. Happened before, will happen again.

Good on ya for getting out for a sail. A remarkably healing occupation.

Re: Renegade Sailing Adventures.

Aaand just got off the phone with the shop doing my engine.

They are now saying Tuesday next week. Originally it was supposed to be done Thursday last week.

Nick, this behavior is universal in the yottie service world. When they say "next Tuesday" what they mean is "not now"... equivalent to "manana (sp?) in Mexico.

All I can advise is... get used to iit, and try not to depend on other people to work on your boat.

Jim this is the engine in nicks kenworth not his boat. The engine in the spencer is barely broke in

Ohh, silly me! Missed that fact somehow...

Sounds like it ain't just the boatyard drones who do this sort of scheduling!

If it was the boat I could be a little more lax, but in this case it's my money maker, and it is costing me a lot of money sitting. Really screwing up my program.
