Renegade Sailing Adventures.

Hello Cruisers Forum!

After getting a lot of advice from people and getting a really solid plan together I am starting this thread to follow my sailing adventures.

As well I will be doing a YouTube channel called S/V Renegade.

It all started with the first video I posted:

This is going to be an on going series for a while as I get things figured out, I am going to introduce myself to other channels I find interesting and start to build a community between that.

As well in the coming weeks I am going to lay out my plan for making everything happen here to go out and get sailing, I just need to get back out to the west coast to make it happen, right now I am in Kentucky I just attended the Mid America Truck show.

That was pretty cool.

Tomorrow I have to see if I can find a load back to Montana or close enough I can run home empty, I have a lot of stuff to take care of there so I can get my blue truck up for sale and get my red truck back on the road.

Then there is a boat out in Tacoma I really have my eye on I am hoping to get out and look at pretty quick.

Once those things happen the other pieces will start to fall into place.

I am hoping this boat will be the one because I can also get the slip with it and it is in a perfect location for what I am doing, I dare say the boat and the location are perfect assuming the boat checks out!

Hey nick nice pic of a well restored general . If you happen to see one I would love a couple good pics of a bison . Just don't see them out here on the right coast.

If I ever see one, I suspect they are few and far between.

Re: Renegade Sailing Adventures.

Right now I'm doing a bottom job on a boat the owner of which is from bozeman .
The Chevy bison is the same as a GMC general but with a bison hood ornament that's what I want a pic of truck and all

Good luck with all of it Nick. You seem to have a great attitude and that will take you where you need to get.

Re: Renegade Sailing Adventures.

I got loaded this morning, sitting in Dalton GA right now, had an issue with my Tennessee permit so didn't make it any further, should still be set to unload in Medford on Monday.

Yeah, I got loaded today, currently sitting in a Turkish resto on Qld coast. No permits required to get loaded here. Just worried about getting my rig to the marina carpark, about 600 metres away.
Gestapo everywhere.

Re: Renegade Sailing Adventures.

So tonight I was on Ancestry.com and I found a missing link in my family.

I discovered a name change via a story passed on to me by a living relative I found through the site.

I then found some more information that led to a birth certificate which led to more information, as it turns out my family is from Rostock Germany, and apparently there were quite a few sailors among them because they kept winding up with Swedish brides.

So many things about my genetic predispositions start to make sense the more I learn about this.

I can see a trip to Germany is definitely going to have to be a part of this adventure.

Made it to Cheyenne, fought the wind all day across Nebraska. I'm beat man, only 1307 miles to Medford.
