Re: Looking for Liveaboard Boat and Marina in Tampa

Yeah, I didn't think any smaller sized boat with less than a 49ft mast would likely have a deep draft. I think my "you wanna sail in Florida?" recommendations are: less than 5ft draft, less than 55ft mast(west coast bridges) and 49ft or less will let you hop the coasts quickly.

I'm also 4'6" and wouldn't want to have any more draft. But I'm also still new and worry constantly about running aground.

Re: Looking for Liveaboard Boat and Marina in Tampa

Hello,

cbtucker.......are you still looking for a boat and marina? I have a 1979 Pearson 323 with a slip at the St Pete marina for sail....it is only a 20-30 min drive from here to the airport. In the morinings traffic isn't that bad getting into Tampa and in the afternoon the traffic is pretty clear coming back from Tampa. Send me an e-mail at roadrunnersid at aol dot com maybe we can get together and talk. My wife and I have set up our boat as a perfect live a board two tv's surround system and everything you might need.

Talk to you soon,
Sid

interested in living on a boat starting May 15. Not sure options here in South Tampa, open to St. Pete as well. I'm a business owner and looking for some change and can work remotely. ANY guidance on process / options would be amazing. Much appreciated! Thank you!

Find you a nice boat for sale, in a nice Marina, boat will need good AC.
That would be my minimum for getting through a Summer in Fl.

Hello again Lala34,

Believe it or not I still have my 1979 Pearson 323 for sale again and it is still located at the St Petersburg Marina. My wife and I lived on it for 10 years and we are looking to buy a house now. Let me know if you are interested and I can e-mail you info and pictures
