Yes, I know what you mean. That last lock opening is a very special experience.
The photo below is when we line handled on a cat before we went through. Its something about that last lock, the Bridge of the Americas that looks faintly like the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the knowledge you can't turn back (a) because it costs too much.

While you are there maybe you can visit one of the special places. Its a zoo near the Panama city locks. It only cost $1 to get in. The bizarre thing was that there were was no one there! Just us! And some very lonely animals. If you can get there is a good one

This must be the standard picture for entering the Pacific

. & thanks for the tip on the ZOO. We are looking for things to do. All of our line handlers were from the Maritime College. We are trading one a day sail for a drive into the mountains. If it works out we will give him a couple of more day sails, for a couple of more rides

No.

That is where 90% of the time the eyes are focused in the average picture.

It was a dark wet day and the flash on the camera reflected of the reflective tape on the wet weather gear.

Either that or it was her medal for passing Colon

The day sail for a days drive sounds like a great swap!

Don't count me out my friends. I am in the Oakland Ca. libray using the net. Sailed the bay yesterday, and last Sarurday too. Not bad for being home for 14 days. In the next couple of days we will know where I need to go for some visits with the white coats

I am also getting the chance to catch up on some business whoas. This morning I took the Lark Spur ferry to downtown S.F. It's great to be home, but it will be better to slip under the Golden Gate heading east on Imagine. It was petty hard looking over my shoulder as the ferry left Imagine's mooring in Panama.
