Spectra watermaker model 380c improvement

I just bought a Spectra 380C and the two 12 volts Shureflo pumps are gone.
Instead of using the appropriate pump with an heavy duty motor, Spectra , instead seems to have decided to use two diaphragm pumps in parallel pushed at their maximum rating and using heat sinks and a small computer fan to boost their capacity.

I am planning to use a Procon rotary vane Pump combined with the appropriate 12 Volts motor to supply 2.7 GPM @ 100 psi required by the Clark’s Pump.

Has anyone ever made this change or anyone have comments or suggestions on this.

Here is the details about the propriety Shureflo Pump used by Spectra and for the Replacement Procon pump I plan to use:

I’d give tellie a call.
He’s a Spectra dealer I believe and helps members all the time. I’m certain he would know if your plan is a good one or not, and if it’s not he most likely can explain exactly why not.
None of us have his experience
