Replacement Ports for 1972 Irwin 37 CC

Can someone direct me to a supplier? Several of the outside rims are cracked and I want to re-bed.

I didn't notice any brand. I'll have to look more closely when I go up later this week.

Contact Peter or Trevor at Symbol Yachts , Warwick RI. They were big Irwin dealers back in the day.

Re: Replacement Ports for 1972 Irwin 37 CC

The ports are made by Fuller Brush Company. I don't think they are original as I found 2 ports in stored in a locker with no brand but were similar to Beckson.

Ooops! I just googled and found them. They still seem to be in business.

Insert Fuller Brush salesman joke here.

Newfound metals is a consideration

Tons to be found in surplus stores as well. They should be a standard size.

Re: Replacement Ports for 1972 Irwin 37 CC

+1 for Newfound Metals. Also, try giving Minney's a call from time to time. Ditto on the other big surplus/used gear stockists.
And keep in mind that it's likely worth it in terms of $, if you find a port that's close size wise, & or depth wise to what you currently have + cheap. But you'd have to do a small bit of modifying to your boat to make it fit. IE. Enlarging the cutout slightly, or glassing on & over a piece of core on the inside of your cabin. It can be done to look nice pretty easily, & adds the bonus of a bit of R value, as well as stiffness.
