Plastic Rubrail

I once had a small sailboat that had a thin black plastic rubrail fastened around the gunwale. About 5/8 or 3/4 inch wide, and at most 1/8 inch thick.. Not what you would call half round, but more like the hollow back ss rubrail strips.

If I could find it, it would work well on a boat I'm building. More as a protective surface for the wooden rubrail.

Does anyone know of a source for something like this? I've found something close, but it has a flat on the bottom edge that I'd rather not have.

Me too, our Taco catalog is huge, they have hundreds of different rail profiles. Maybe thousands.

Hello, most large metropolitan areas have a plastics fabrication, manufacturing business. They supply plastic sheet which can be formed just like wood, ie they can router the strip to any shape..black plastic hdpe is only about 2.00/lb. Even if you find the right thickness sheet the worst case scenario is that a kitchen cabinet maker joiner could cut/router it.

Most rubrails are much larger than what I'm looking for.
There is one on these links that I'll look into.
