Arctic Lady Refit - Update

I managed to spend 4 weeks over March and April working on my sweet heart.

The biggest single job was getting the overhead lighting in.
I had previously finished the head liners, but had to remove them to do all the wiring required for the 62 LEDs.
I know that 62 sounds like a lot, but I wanted very good lighting.
I went with the i2Systems lights. Some are switches as well as lights...you just lightly touch the lens and they switch on and off....if you hold your finger there, they also dim up and down.
One light/switch will operate up to twenty other lights.
I'm real happy with the results...but it was a BIG job.

Also got some SS hand holds installed, one around the back of the galley sink and two overhead in the raised saloon that continue down both sides of the companion way ladder (this is still the old ladder).
These have worked out really well...they're excellent when using the ladder. The dirty little secret here is that I didn’t have (forgot) a chase for the lighting circuit for this cabin so the design allows the multi conductor to pass inside.

Finally got my aft head sink sorted out as well. Its base is coreon (sp) the shelf is SS and had a bit of fabricating of some "off-set sort of pieces to tie it all together...this head is very small and getting the sink sorted was a challenge.
Also almost finished its light/mirror combo.
The mirror is 6mm with a 3cm wide SS flat stock run up each side…when they reach the top of the mirror they are angled out about 4 inches…and stop. Will have teak end caps and a 12” fluorescent inside…the final bit will be a two pieces of glass (one shorter then the other) laminated together to create a lip on each side that will hold it in place but make it easy to remove.

I made some head way on the drop-down sandwich bar but didn’t finish...also got the engine hatch brackets done but not installed.

I did get the 10cm dia SS ducting in from the two internal dorad boxes..

So many little bits and pieces....

All I can say is wow.

But I am a little upset with you over this. My wife saw the photos and well guess what she wants for our boat now.

Next time censor the post "for guys only"
