Thanks for all the help. After better inspection I found that indeed I can unlock the roation of the engine, and even more, it can rotate 360 degree (as long as I am careful witjh fueal line) so I can actually use forward gear to go in reverse.
So this should solve my problems especially if I will set up a link to hook engine rotation of the helm in either forward of reversed position.

Yes agree with Growley to move engine down if possible. It might be so low that you can't operate it, or the whole thing might go underwater in waves making that impossible.

Do you know if you have a long or short shaft version of your engine?

Tohatsu Outboard Motor - Owners Manuals

Find the model number from the nameplate data. Download the owners manual for more cool tricks.
