Tartan 34C stantions

I have a Tartan 34C and I am not sure how I am going to access the aft stantions on both port and starboard. The ice box is in the way on one side, and the quarterberth paneling on the other.

Any suggestions?

As an aside - why don't the builders glass in a stainless plate and then tap it for stantions that are hard / impossible to access without major surgery?

Thanks!
Brad

Re: Tartan 34C stantions

Because 99% of boaters never rebed anything even when damage is obvious. And they have to keep prices low. Auto designers also shoot for cost/ price, not ease of maintenance.
