Re: Tartan 34c

Your right. Nice pedigree and a direct descendant of some innovative designs.

The engine is a well maintained RWC Atomic 4 with 40# oil pressure at a constant 160deg temp. She draws 3'11 with board up. Nearly 8ft with board fully down. Board and board gear in excellent condition. Board is easily deployed up and down with only a few turns. Board is light, around 65 lbs and can be fixed in any position. All gear runs internally. SS cable attached to SS pivot arm and easily accessible for inspection. There is no hour meter for the engine. I can tell you she is an easy starter, with no water, fuel or oil leaks. She is positioned amidships with uncommon access on all sides, including shaft and stuffing box.

Re: Tartan 34c

I sailed and raced on a 34C, and what a nice boat. Rating was good and we did quite well with racing. Very sea kindly and smooth sailing. Looks good, we love Tartans. Very nice, well kept boat. Good Luck with the sale.

Re: Tartan 34c

Apparently you won't answer or address the question of soft spots or blisters. One can only assume that the boat has both.

With respect to your retort to my proffered compliment on the boat being a beauty: in light of the tartness of the reply, I retract my comment.
