Re: The Real MarkJ Exposed

Presumably MarkJ was deeply embrassed that he had run out of home brew and thus was overly compensating in other areas.

Nevertheless well done Mark and you have rightly earned some more "cobber" points on ya AussieCard.

I'm not surprised either. MarkJ has always been helpful whenever I've had a problem and the voice of reason when things get out of hand. We are headed to St. Martaan and look forward to meeting him.

Re: The Real MarkJ Exposed

Good on Mark for setting a good example for others. I've met quite a few members from here and other forums. MarkJ is another I sincerely hope to meet one day.

I always enjoy his posts because they are honest, helpful, and often humorous.

Good on ya, Mark.
Can we make it a group trip???

(PS: Never had my doubts on this man's generosity.... )

(But I DO HAVE SEVERAL doubts in many other areas that are not fit to post in a public forum)

Kudos to Mark J (and like others, I am definitely not surprised) and congrats Robert on making the passage in spite of some setbacks!

It was just minutes after we had anchored that MarkJ arrived and advised us that he had arranged with another cruising buddy to push us under the bridge(when it opened) and get us into the protected lagoon so that we could arrange repairs. He then spent the better part of a day and a half running us all over the place, heck I don't think my Son would have given us such treatment. Anyways this guy is a winner in the friendly cruiser department and I just wanted others on this forum to know what a great guy he really is and of course without this forum I would not have met him in the first place. We are forever grateful....Robert
Thanks for passing that on. At first I thought, some of his comments where crass. Then I realized he had the gift of wry humor. Wish I did.

Amazing the people you meet on the water.

MarkJ. A genuinely nice guy but not sure if I'd leave him alone with my girlfriend.

Oh wait, I'm married so guess I'm safe.

I felt like I needed to fill in the blanks for those that are a bit slow on the uptake.
