Re: Resolved: vendor concern with Canadian Fabrics

I placed an order with this company for hull liner and fabric to replace the cushions. 10 days after ordering they emailed me informing me that the hull liner will be here on the 12th of Feb and they cannot supply the fabric as it is end of line.

Here we are almost five weeks later I have no hull liner and no refund.

I requested a full refund but emails sent to them are now being rejected as their mailbox is full, I have tried calling too many times for no one to answer and I even tried Facebook.

This is not how to do business :/
I have contacted my credit card company and filed a complaint.
Should get my money back within 4 - 8 weeks.

On a brighter note I placed an order for the cushion fabric with Welcome to JT's Outdoor Fabrics Inc. - With Your Vision & Our Products, Anything's Possible! and it was here within a week.
I thought they were the same company as they are located very close to each other but they are not. Staff were very helpful!

two first-time posts, both denigrating the vendor, one with a link to a competitor...

na, nothing fishy about that

Re: Resolved: vendor concern with Canadian Fabrics

Yes, it does look fishy, not good form for a first post.
I'll post int the meet and greet and introduce myself.

I bought a Cal 2-27 on Vancouver Island at the start of the year.
Renovations are in progress and I needed new hull liner.

I'm pretty annoyed to be a month down the line with no product and no refund.

Angry Re: Outdoor Canada Fabrics Inc

Unfortunately I recently became another victim of dealing with Outdoor Canada Fabrics in Barrie. Placed an order, still waiting with no answers to phone calls, returned emails and no response to the in website messaging.

It seems the list of complaints are growing both on Twitter and Facebook.

Also the IFAI have confirmed that they are not members and should not be displaying their logo on the website

The company has now been reported to the Fraud Department / Competition Bureau of the Canadian Government.

Lesson learned do some research before parting with your money

Re: Resolved: vendor concern with Canadian Fabrics

I ordered 3 yards speaker material. 50$ bill paid for it on site of this "warehouse only" orginization. I cant get into contact with the lady that took my order and these reviews are worrying. I suppose I'll try and contact paypal as well because im on thin ice with my budget. Should have read the google reviews.

Re: Resolved: vendor concern with Canadian Fabrics

Old thread I know but I am having a bad experience with this company as well. I payed by interac transfer and sure wish I'd seen this thread or read the reveiws first. They have a very convincing website but don't respond to emails and don't have a published phone number that works. They did accept my money though and it's now been a few weeks and no product. I'm planning on complaining to the RCMP and maybe reporting them to the Canada Revenue Agency since they collected federal sales tax from me. The one appears to still be this Angela person who posted earlier on this thread. Not good!

Good luck with it, Nick, that's pretty distressing.

Thanks Anne I usually consider myself pretty savvy when it comes to internet risks but I blew it on this one.

Yup, same here, with a small order for my business. Over a week, no response.

Re: Resolved: vendor concern with Canadian Fabrics

I filed a fraud complaint with the rcmp and I encourage anyone else with similar issues to do the same.

Re: Resolved: vendor concern with Canadian Fabrics

As of September 3 2018, this vendor is still not responding and "accepts" only FedEx and Interac e-transfer.
After registering I placed an order and got immediate confirmation of order number and that an email would be sent when shipped. I then proceeded to Interact transfer and have no news since even after repeated attempts (5) to contact them via their website "contact us" by email .......their phone number is still "number not in service" . So after waiting 4 days for feedback I panicked and luckily I was able to retrieve my Interact transfer ($170+) as they had not completed the transaction at their end! This is the first and last time I do business with this company even if they do eventually get their act together.
