In keeping with the theme;

Sail away with me honey (David Grey)
Christian islands and Ghost of cape Horn (Gordon Lightfoot)

Here's a little tune I wrote- inspired by sailing up along the BC coastline:

Re: Music to Sail by . . .

For me, sailing and music go hand in hand, whatever the subject of the song. With that in mind:

David Gray is awesome. Another tortured Welshman, like all the best poets. White Ladder is still my favorite album from him, but all of his stuff is amazing.

That is a good one...Not so much a sailing song but Steve n Seagulls rocks The Trooper by Iron Madian (on Youtube) and lots of other cool cover tunes with a jamming banjo,dog house bass and mandolin player...

Re: Music to Sail by . . .

Hey guys!

I've been writing songs that are nautical/folk.

Trying to get feedback from people who sail & spend time on the water!

What do you think of our songs? www.soundcloud.com/TheTideRose

Thank you!
Whitney

Thought I'd pop my head in here too after a friend mentioned it the other night. Some great tunes here's one I wrote a while back, not the best recording quality but oh well ..
