FREE Cape Dory Typhoon!! Looks like the trailer needs a little help. Hard to see the actual condition of the boat.

Re: FREE, or close to free!

Not free, but IMHO an amazing deal!! She was for sale months ago and I drooled over it then. The same boat (1969 and minus the inboard) is for sale on Cape Cod for 2500.

Re: FREE, or close to free!

Somewhere in the past threads someone was talking about Chris Crafts and I saw this one, the Sail Yacht 35, in San Diego craigslist., $7500. I have not seen one but the Chris Crafts had a good rep for build quality and solid hulls. S & S designed. If you don't mind putting the engine back together, this might be a good candidate for going south to Baja. It looks like this may be one of the early ones with a wood deck and superstructure as SD says. That would be something to check out.

Now where are all the 16 year old kids who want a good, tough, safe little boat for gunkholing and exploring and fishing around New England?

Seriously! Oh wait 16 year olds don't sail anymore. The boating industry is really killing its self.

My God that's gorgeous.

So tempting to add to my list despite 2" too wide a beam.

And not many old mentors to help them pull one out of the weeds and bring it back to life. There is a good thread here about a guy who got a Cape Dory 25 in pretty bad shape and.....

Gone. I like to imagine some 16y.o. whose parents banned from screens got it.

It isn't the boating industry's fault any more than the go-kart's

Re: FREE, or close to free!

Looks ok from what I can see in the pictures, but it does say that the inside is a mess. Wish they showed it.. Very beamy boat at 11 feet.
