I will have to introduce the new owner gently to my exotic food tastes...he was not too keen on Spanish food when I ordered pulpitos romana and albondigas with arroz valencianes!

Re: Boatman's Latest Adventure

weather for the coming week in dover. Numbers at the bottom indicate wind strength (in meters per second - double it for knots. ) arrows indicate direction

so - saturday (lørdag in Danish) say 6-7 meters per second (12-14 knots) from the south. easy peasy on that boat. Wednesday/thursday 18-20 knots from the southwest.

My experience is that these are land based numbers - add 25% for conditions on the water.

Lots of sunshine.

Damn Boatie - that's just a sunday sail for you (ok - straight up into the wind - but hell that boat should be able to point without any problems

Good luck.

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"

1987 America's Cup Challenger,. usually sailed with 8-12 crew in her glory days
Weavis, are you sure of those numbers? She doesn't look like 64', & another member mentions 12 m, which makes more sense to her history & beam. What is her length? Today, Google isn't answering my question. By the wat, when did you make mod?

Great thread!

I quoted Phils measurements.

Making mod is not all its cracked up to be. I think it happened because they wanted cheap beer and food when in Mallorca

12m IS NOT THE LOA.... They are usually 60+ to 75ft...

It's the box rule formula for the boats... I'll find it...
