After many months of planning and intensive engineering I'm setting off on a new sailing adventure. I have taken the
engine, frame and wheels from a 1951 ford pickup and will be mounting my 34 foot sailboat on top of it.
I'll be using 2x4's, old spare ropes and a few rolls of duct tape to secure the
boats full keep to the ford pickup frame. Then I will set sail east on interstate 80 on a voyage of discovery of the new world.
The only hard part will be getting over the mountains. But think I'll just use a really large
spinnaker and lots of cats (the furry kind, not the two
hull kind) which should be enough to get me over that hump.
My only question is what
anchor do I use when parking and what type of canon do I mount near the bow.
Should make for an exciting trip... See ya'll on I-80 east!!
