Re: S-63 plug-in for OpenCPN

For 64 bits Ubuntu, with 32 bits support through installation of 32-bit compatibility libraries (ia32-libs or Multiarch support)

Code:
$git clone https://github.com/bdbcat/s63_pi
$cd s63_pi
$cmake -DPREFIX=/usr .
$ make package
Proceed according to to Dave's original instructions, using your own package.

Re: S-63 plug-in for OpenCPN

hello Dave,

First, see join screen copy.

When we use "Import cell permits ..." this add charts in the "S63" tab ant it add a line in the "Loaded charts" tab.

1 If the chart is removed in the S63 tab, this does not delete the corresponding line in the "Loaded charts" tab.
This explains why, in my tests, changing test with removing charts from the previous test, I continued to see the red lines of the removed charts.

2 You can delete the line "C: programdata \ OpenCPN \ s63charts \ GB". This does not delete the corresponding charts in the S63 tab.
a) Is it possible to recreate this line manually?
It seems to me that the only current method is to remove the charts in S63 tab and recreate them again. In addition, I tried, and I think we should stop ocpn before reloading the charts in S63 tab (Not sure).

These two situations are not very friendly.

Re: S-63 plug-in for OpenCPN

Gilletarom....

This part I do not understand:

Code:
I installed the plugin S-63 using s63_pi_010_setupexe release. Like yesterday, the plugin is installed in OpenCPN 322. Like yesterday, I copied and pasted the folder from O322 to O331303 .
Can you describe you OCPN directory structure? What is meant by expression "the s63 PlugIn "installed" into OCPN 3.2.2?" Are there multiple directories in "Program Files\OpenCPN" ?

Thanks
Dave

With 2 screen copy, I thing that you can undestand.

This morning, when I install O322, it was install as parallel install. Not other possibility. (why, I do not know. It is the first time that I have this case)
Idem for O 331303.

When I run the install sofware of S63 plugin, the folder S63 was not in O331303. It was in O/plugins directory. So I take this folder and I place it, manually in the O331303/plugins directory.

P.S. Note that now, the directory OCPN is exiting but it is not used. (strange)

Re: S-63 plug-in for OpenCPN

Hello testers...

For those XP users having trouble with eSENC creation hanging at 2140, I attach a new version of OCPNsenc.exe. Rename and copy this new file to your s63_pi directory, overwriting the previous version of OCPNsenc.exe.

This bug affects Windows systems only, AFAICT.

Thanks
Dave

Re: S-63 plug-in for OpenCPN

Hello Dave,

I oCPNsenc.exe replaced by the new version. The problem with the object disappeared in 2140.

I redid the 8-8a and 8-8b test. Now there is no problem.

Hi Dave!

I installed the new OCPNsenc file and charts are working fine now. However, OpenCPN crashed on exiting. It generated an error report that I sent.

Looking good!!!

Re: S-63 plug-in for OpenCPN

Win7 NoOpenGL is ok as well.

Comments about the install/uninstall of the plug-in:

As always when uninstalling a version of OpenCPN under Windows the plug-in folder is not removed and has to be trashed manually.
But this will not remove the registry entry for the S-63 plug-in.

Here we have the reason between a virgin installation and a later one - in the first you can specify the directory where to install the plug-in, in the second case the Installer discovers an existing version and "replaces".

The S-63 PI directory contains a PI-uninstaller you can run manually - the replace process is using this one.

Re: S-63 plug-in for OpenCPN

It looks like the "Reduced Detail at Small Scale" isn't honored by the S63 plugin. Zooming out, like in the picture below, really slows down O.

Re: S-63 plug-in for OpenCPN

hello Dave,

Here join french language file for S63 plugin.

BUT ...

1° In the pot file there is the item "Remove permit". In the S63 chart tab, there is "Remove permits". So our translation is not used for the button.

2° The item "New UserPermit" is not in the pot file. So it is not translated.

Re: S-63 plug-in for OpenCPN

Dave hello , hello Hubert,

Sorry to bother you again on the installer S63 .

After my new installation, I still had abnormalities. And software installation S63 does not work as you proclaim .

So I made a big clean up my machine. I uninstalled everything . I used the uninstaller beta or stable versions present in my PC.

Then I loaded the latest version of CCleaner and I cleaned the registry of my PC.

So I got a PC " as new" . I think you can trust me this time .

After that, I reinstalled the 322 version which is installed in the OpenCPN folder. Then I re-installed the 331303 parallel version that is installed in the "Opencpn 331303" folder.

And I tried to install the plugin S63 with the installation software . See the screenshot below.

Then I choose the installation folder until "C: \ Program Files \ OpenCPN 3.3.1303\plugins " and I agree .

You see on the screen copy that the installer does not add " s63_pi " . He adds, " OpenCPN ."

For the installation is done well , you must manually replace " OpenCPN " with " s63_pi " . This is the bug. And this explain also the previous problem in my PC before I clean it completely..

B.R. Gilletarom.
