OpenCPN and Windows Desktop Position

I'm using OpenCPN 2.3.1 on a two monitor system (extended desktop) in Windows XP. While other apps "remember" the desktop position where they last opened, OpenCPN does not. Oddly, the Dashboard Plug-In does remember. This is critical, so that OpenCPN will open on the correct screen.

I have searched my but not found anything on this topic. Is there a simple fix?

It does it on my dual-monitor system as well, but I have no idea what the fix is. If I move it over to my second monitor and then close it, it always re-opens top left on the main monitor.

It does seem to remember what mode that it was last run in (Restore mode vs. Maximized), but not the window size or screen position.

It's not a big deal for me as I'm only using the software for route planning right now, and for backup on a single monitor laptop system in the future.

This issue is resolved in the current 714 Release Candidate.
You may download from openpcn.org now to test it.
