Alledgedly its being thought about. Why don't you investigate if its possible to compile Qt4 on windows mobile? Or run your mobile unit on linux preferably

I'm not the programmer. For me it is very difficult.

But, I think, it will be interesting not only to me.

Boris, right. As idpnd said, it's being looked at. Main problem is time to do it, but it would fit pretty easily onto Windows Mobile - at least as easily as on any mobile OS. If someone has time to donate to this effort, that'd be great...

Re: OpenCPN for Windows Mobile?

Dear all,
Capcode is developing a terminal running on mobile phones, to be connected to a primary software (capcode, but why not opencpn). It runs in java, so portable on any mobile phone aving a Java Virtual Machine (most do). The only thing opencpn would need it a plugin re-sending NMEA messages to a com port. This com port being allocated to a bluetooth port (very easy to do so in Windows), the terminal can then display the data on a couple of dedicated screens. So far (I'm still developing the stuff), it can display basic GPS, wind and target to next waypoint. I did this to have a handy display in the cockpit, while the main base is in the dry cabin...
Functions I am thinking about are mainly regatta based (like capcode) but I am also planning autopilot remote control functions.
If you are interested, you can contact me to adapt the protocol and to define the messages to be sent by opencpn.
BTW you do a great job. nice tool
