Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

I have just pushed a new release with fixes from Peter, adding a generator button, NMEA fixes and a few others. https://github.com/delatbabel/Logboo...es/tag/v1.2014

As always, Windows and MacOS binaries will be welcome. I should have a Windows build environment soon but in the mean time anyone else who can build a release please do so.

I wanted to work with version 1214 now online on the server Thingie RGleason to version 3.2.2 O.

With W 7 and I use O V4.

1. I use a netbook ASUS Eee PC with a screen of 10 '. It is impossible to validate preference settings because the buttons "OK", "Cancel" and "Apply" are inaccessible in the first tab. See the screenshot below.

2. I use your mo file and the mo file after download po file from Crowdin.

There is an item not translated : "Show position format". But, this item is in the crowdin. And it is translated in crowdin. So, little bug.

Thank you in advance. Gilletarom.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Does anyone have some Logbook Konni "Navigation" and "Meteo" data that could be imported into logbook konni to test the new Polar_pi features?

I would like to know if there is a way to export/import these data logs so that we can test that connectivity feature with Polar_pi.

I would like to place these files so that are accessible to others for testing purposes on the OpenCPN Beta File Thingie.

If you have such files would you mind uploading them to the "Upload" directory
here OpenCPN Beta File Thingie upload uploadpass
Upload into the "Upload Area" directory please. Thank you.

Just use
User: upload
Pass: uploadpass

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Hello DelatBabel,

I correct my post yesterday #xxx.

I worked yesterday with the 1213 release. I saw today on the thingie that there was a 1214 release. I installed it. I use the language file downloaded from the crowdin.

Preferences:
Tab "Behavior", I watch 3 untranslated items:
- "Show position format"
- "Generator on board",
- "Write message" Engine running ".

"Miscellaneous/NMEA" tab, I see an item not translated:
- "Check one of the below checkboxes, if you want to use ERRPM sentence (see help)"

Best regards. Gilletarom.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Hello DelatBabel,

1.214 V, downloaded Thingie. Another test:

1°)
In the "Crew", I right click in a box in the upper spreadsheet. The one where it says "Mimie" but the phenomenon occurs with other boxes.

First, I have a strange context menu that opens. See screenshot 1
Second, I have the normal context menu that opens. See screenshot 2.

Please note that is not easy to reproduce this phenomenon.

2°)
In the "Maintenance" tab:

First see the screenshot 3:
- All lines except one are green.
- All rows have a priority level equal to 5 except one.

I click on the heading of the second column ("Action à réaliser").
The lines are reorganized but:
- One of the lines becomes yellow,
- The priority level of the yellow line is 3.
See screenshot 4.

It does not seem to me that this is normal.

3°)
Other question :
When we created a line, it is impossible to select the priority level. It is 0 or 5. And the priority goes to 5 dice that validates the line.

It seems to me that this is not normal. ?????

Gilletarom,

Issue 1:
There are 2 states the cell can be in, 'selected" and "edit"
Normally when you left click the cell it will go into edit mode.
If you then right click it will show the edit functions that can be performed on the cell (cut, copy paste etc)
If you right click on a cell without left clicking first it will show your second screenshot.

Issue 2:
In the maintenance view the priority will depend on the active state and the condition of the if statement.
If you add a line it will have prio 0 and no color.
If you change the active state to yes then the prio will become 5 and the color green.
When the if condition validates the warning value, the prio will become 3 and the color yellow. Also the background of the whole logbook window will change to color yellow
When the if condition validates the urgent value, the prio will become 1 and the color red. Also the background of the whole logbook window will change to color red.
If you change the active state to no again the prio will become 0 and no color.

Issue 3:
See issue explanation.

Regards,
Peter

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

For Polar_pi
--------------
I hope someone will test making a Polar diagram from the Logbook database, as I have not been able to do that yet. (We need to be able to import a Metero and Navigation database into Logbook Konni) Also is there a way to "Save" this data from Logbook Konni, so that I could "Import" it?

See http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...ml#post1755779

Also is there some way to import Nmea data with Wind, SOG, COG, GPS etc ? That might give me a way to test Polar_pi with LogBook Data.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

I tested the latest version and it all seems to be working OK.

I would like to save the logbook.txt in a different directory (my own 'data' directory that I regularly backup) and be able to rename it within the logbook just before saving it. If that could be implemented at some stage it would be great.

I cannot help with the polars, sorry.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

I have not learned all the features of Logbook Konni.
If I have a nmea data stream running in OpenCPN (shown by nmea data with AWD AWS TWD TWS SOG COG, GPS etc scrolling in the test window) what do I do to get Logbook Konni to record that?

Is there a way to simply "Import" and "Export" that data?

Thanks for your advice.

Rick,

You can create an entry by hitting "Add Line" manually or goto Set Timer in the bottom and setup a timer for say 1 minute or whatever you like.
Then Hit Timer button so it will turn green, this will force an entry to be made according the timer you created.

The plugin will create an active logbook called logbook.txt under plugins/logbook/data/
The exact location differs between OSs.
If you create a New Logbook in Logbook it will save the current Active Logbook with a name like "until_2015-02-22_13_52_23_logbook.txt"
and a new Active Logbook named logbook.txt will be created.

The polar plugin will go through ALL until files and the logbook.txt file.
So if you want to "import" a logbook file for running a polar test, you first create a new logbook to save your old logbook file and then
you have to move the "until*" files away and replace the logbook.txt file with your import logbook.txt file.
All this of course without OCPN running.
Now you can startup logbook and your import logbook should appear.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Good Afternoon rgleason and all others sailors.

I used Logbook for all my short navigation and was the silent partner of the plugin Polar and is integration in the logbook.
I read your are looking for a logbooks files for your tests. I've just drop 4 files (in a zip file) on the thingie server.
You will see also a meteo data into them due to my captors arduino on my boat. I like this small card and all things we can do with it.

If you are looking for other beta testor (on window platform) I will help you with pleasure.
