Re: Beta Test / Technical

Now, anyone of the programmer can tell me if we can reduce the number of years from, 401 to say starting in 1970 instead of 1700 in the header of the harmonic file for tidal arguments and nodes factors? This could be the solution in order to make it work in android cell phone. No one needs to start in 1700.
Best Regards.

The Answer to this is ``YES `` and it works correctly. So thanks for not answering my request.
Best Regards.

SMALL BUG
When using Accelerated Graphics (openGL) and vector charts, the main window is not properly reactivated after small pop-ups. Example: AIS Target Properties. Resizing main window restores it...

Re: Beta Test / Technical

I note that the commit b27b92f0b Global replace wxIsNaN() by std::isnan() makes the build fail on the old 4.6.3 gcc. Is this on purpose?

To be clear: I think it's about time to drop the last non-C++11 compiler, so I see no problems with dropping it.

Anyone, out there?

Grib_pi may need to be changed at some point, if downloads are done direct from Noaa they should now use https. Zygrib may also need this info

Re: Beta Test / Technical

WMM_pi uses WMM2010.cof which expires on December 31, 2014.
I was checking NOAA for any updates and when clicking a link to the updates got this response:
"The website you are trying to access is not available at this time due to a lapse in appropriation."
Hopefully this important file can be updated soon.

Rick...
The coefitients are updated to a current version for 4 years, it is the manual that needs updating.

Rick,

An idiot in the White House shutdown the government and NOAA is currently not funded until said idiot gives up his demand for a stupid wall and reopens the government. Please keep in mind that this is being done for your protection and security.

Re: Beta Test / Technical

Thanks Nohal, I hope I can do that update to the wiki soon as I don't have the info required (must be on the website)
I wished to make comments too, but refrained.

Re: Beta Test / Technical

The current version is WMM2015 and, valid until 2020, but if you ask me, that paragraph is useless and should be removed from the manual.

Re: Beta Test / Technical

I just stumbled across this and seems pertinent to the discussion. Looks like this will be getting updated more frequently in the future.

Very interesting, but not surprising. Perhaps 4 year old data is getting long in the tooth.

Re: Beta Test / Technical

In the wiki, when gshhs high res is needed, should we be linking to

https://launchpad.net/~opencpn/+arch....4.orig.tar.xz

or should we simply suggest to use ChartDownloader and to ADD the predefined basemap "GSHHG basemap" and to select "All GSHHG Basemaps"?

I would like to make the link consistent.
