info' about antenna

Hello!

My antenna broke down (Orbit 7108) and i need to replace it with a new one.
In general, I was highly satisfied with Orbit's service and features, but since we're talking about investing approx. 80-100K US$ I consider replacing the lot and get a whole new set.

Thus, if there is a model (/company) you use and can recommend I would be more than glad to hear about it.
The only other company I have heard of is SeaTel (and Orbit). If you are aware of other alternatives (heard of Thrane???) please let me know.

ThanX in advance,

Edward

Not many of us would have any experience with a 2,500 lb (98" dia.) antenna.

I don't have one on my boat either but I'd like to have the money to have a boat large enough to put one on. Then I'd go a bit smaller with trac III and a sat phone.

That's one hell of an antenna. I'm still debating about whether or not to get anything more than a VHF. :-)

Thank you all for helping,
I think I slipped a piece of information...
The antenna is for my privately owned 4,800 TEU Panamax Containership.
Does anyone have any experiance with Seatel 6006 (or 4006)?
Ed.
