How can my cat sink on a reef?

We have her in a harness, we have child-proof netting on the lifelines and we never let her up on deck when we're sailing.

Is there anywhere in the world were possession of turtle shells or tusks are legal?

I have this need to practice my scrimshaw.

Re: Titles we really want to see in CF

I have a set of Rhino horns my dad legally shot in Somalia during the early 60s.

How can I sell it to a Chinese aphrodisiac maker?

Do I have to hide it aboard and sail it all the way over and just collect cash?

Can't the green credits I get for sailing allow me to consume/use an endangered species ? Why not?

Why do I need to learn how to sail or buy a boat worth more than 500 dollars?. What is wrong with just drifting through life and depending on handouts?

Making Money While Cruising Pumping Holding Tanks

I believe I have an great money making method while cruising. I'm going to go around the anchorage/mooring field in my dinghy and pump holding tanks into buckets. I will later just dump the buckets into the water because there is no rule against using a bucket. How much do you feel is a fair amount to charge?

Re: Titles we really want to see in CF

'Modifying a mast for pole-dancing'. I just purchased my first sailboat only to find that the mast has all these lines and thingies that interfere with my exotic dancer girlfriend being able to pole dance. I mean, 'duh' - why do you think I bought a boat with a big pole in the middle! Is there any way to eliminate all that stuff and still sail the boat, or am I stuck with table dancing?

'Water slide from the flying bridge of a 45 foot catamaran'. I am looking to buy my first boat and and based upon my research, a catamaran of about 45 feet seems ideal for me and my family. In particular, I am sold on having a large flying bridge (although I really wish they would install a full second story), but have one question: does anyone know of a manufacturer with an optional, fiberglass water slide from the flybridge into the ocean? It seems like a perfect use of such a big, elevated space.

'Adding a second story to a 45 foot cat and installing a pool table'. Since there is standing headroom under the boom from the flying bridge of a 45 catamaran I have been looking at, it strikes me that I should be able to re-inforce the flooring, extend it and enclose the whole area for a games room. My dream would be to have a pool table, but I'm thinking it may be hard to keep level except at the dock (although admittedly, that is where we will spend most of our time). Does anyone know of the manufacturer of a gimaballed pool table? Does anyone forsee any problems?

'Subscribe to my sailing blog, send money and watch me spend it'. I really would love to sail around the world, but first need the money to buy a boat, equip it and then to live on it and sail it. Unlike many other sailing blogs where people attempt to get donations just so subscribers can look at pictures of their adventures on the sea, I am offering a unique opportunity for people to donate money and watch this exciting project from the beginning to the end! C'mon people, send me money and watch me spend it!

Using tacks for securtiy as well as non-skid'. I just finished reading Joshua Slocum and was quite impressed by his story of being saved from bare-foot savages in South America by spreading tacks about his deck at night. I am thinking of permanently installing tacks with epoxy over my decks (and would like a source for stainless steel ones). It strikes me that I can kill two birds with one stone. Unlike the savages in these cruising areas, my wife and I wear shoes on deck. If the tacks only protrude by about 1/4 inch they should still get rid of the stupid savages while giving us a very effective non-skid surface! As a back up, of course, I plan on carrying Napalm (no worries, I have a steel boat)!
