Anyone ever sew pockets on the sides of the chaps, inside of the dink? Be they open top, with some adjustable bungee cords for closure. Or some with full flaps, secured with velcro.

That, or even fo all out, & run a couple of rows of MOLLE webbing around the inside of them. So that you could make removable pockets of different sizes, for various "missions", like diving, or fishing.

And "normal" pockets (like at this paragraph's beginning), would simply be for storing all of the stuff which winds up in the pockets in cockpit coamings, or near the companionway; sunscreen, sunglasses, bino's, etc.

Yes, cup holders on each side. Use them for radio and water bottles.

What! You mean your sewing machine doesn't have a pre-programmed setting, for pockets designed specifically for beer (bottles & cans)? If not, must be defective

I must apologize, it was on the Auxiliary and Dinghy Forum,

Reflective Piping on Dinghy Cover

, if you do a Google Search on that, it will get you there to the picture taken at night.

However, we may need to just let this one drop, Jim told me the piping is not very reflective any more, and it is not even a year old.

Perhaps a better idea is the sewable SOLAS tape, which should hold up better the the clothing grade piping has.

This rubberized paint that seems to work so well is found online as "EPDM" paint and sold by the gallon as "Liquid Rubber". It is marketed for RV roofing, commercial roofing and truck bed coating. I have no experience with it's use for repeated deflating and inflating; however, I've only deflated my inflatable once in many years and that was for a valve replacement. I have not heard of any difficulties with this coating.

Interesting stuff, Hudson! do you know if it adheres to PVC as well as to Hypalon? And if it offers decent UV protection to the substrate?

Notice how my quote of your post stumbled to a stop at do I know! My short answer is that I know next to nothing! I had to ask my Son-in-law what the stuff was. I do know that it brushes on thick though I'm sure it can be thinned and it blocks the visible spectrum and I only assume those shorter UV wavelengths. All I really know is that it adheres well to the hypalon, feels good and cleans well.

So, your questions means I need to confess that I suffer the weakness of most men. If it looks, good, feels good and cleans up well, then I'm in love!
