Re: Cruisers: Pressurized Fresh Water ?

water pressure pumps arent all that expensive. You can always turn the breaker off. Why not have it? My wife would rebel if I didnt. And hot water is a free byproduct of running your engine. Are you THAT sure the women in your life don't want hot water EVER for ANYTHING?

I am a Pardey, not a Bumfuzzle.

I have yet to read a blog, book or article from any cruiser that I would consider at my budget level have a hot water shower on their boat. I have flat out never heard of such a thing. They go to shore to find them, or they use a solar shower.

We're def going the solar shower route as well. Dani and I talked it over and both agreed we'll be going non-pressurized water. After we cut out all the old plumbing and piled it up together, she took a look at it and said, "Never again." Same thing with all the head plumbing.

Re: Cruisers: Pressurized Fresh Water ?

Given the age / style of boat and the fact that the current set up is both kaput and no longer installed I would favour ommitting it completely. Not to say that would not be nice sometimes..........

My boat is co-owned by a woman. Fresh, hot showers, therefore, are not considered optional.

I could create a picture of my sexy girlfriend using a solar shower that would render that argument invalid

A transom shower with a bikini on. That’s against the rules.

I think, also, we need some higher resolution photos to determine the temperature of the shower water

This is what that area looks like right now:
