Hello

Hi Everyone,
My name is Matt and I am in the process of taking over a 37 ft sailboat. I am still learning and want to learn as much as I can. I am open to any and all suggestions or ideas. I am near Galveston Bay, Texas.

Matt

Aloha and welcome aboard!
That's a pretty big boat for a novice. Take your time and learn all the systems and start sailing as much as possible. Local clubs might be a good place to start. Have you had a basic sailing course yet? If not then that'd be a good place to start.
kind regards,

Hi Matt and welcome to CF. Congratulations on the boat.

Also check out the Texas Sailors social group. Bunch a Texans apparently getting together to eat BBQ and tell sailing stories.

You can find it by clicking the "community" link and then social groups.
