Anybody have experience sailing an Alberg 37 offshore?

Hello all. Have been searching for a 28-35' cruising boat that I can set up to take me offshore. I work on traditional boats for a living and I am fairly set on a full keel, heavy, cutter or ketch rig as opposed to a sloop. I am a big fan of Colin archer type double enders, Ala Thistle/westsail 32 etc.. Have been struggling to find anything remotely reasonably priced like this, and there is a potential opportunity to purchase a pretty fairly priced Alberg 37. I have never sailed one. No idea how they handle in a seaway. I have crewed offshore but on much larger and older fashioned vessels. Has anyone any experience with these boats? It is the sloop variant, which I'm not too keen on, but at some point I am going to have to actually pick a boat.

I owned for a long time and sailed offshore an Alberg 35. Pretty similar to the 37. It sails like a classic CCA design boat. Short waterline, long overhangs, low initial stability. In the wrong conditions it can hobby horse. To my eye, very nice looking boats.
