Re: Windlass tripping more than it should?

Re: Can you identify this Buccaneer?

Re: Anchoring in the Great Lakes

Above advice is valid, though one more tip.

Look for patches...

Re: Learn from My Mistakes

Yes, always start checking the simplest things first.

Re: How to get heavy weather ocean sailing experience

If you want to sail in big winds and high waves, go where they are common and nearly everyday.
We sailed our Catamaran from Lake Ontario to round Cape Horn and spent 11 months in the area.
An...

I am usually boating with my wife, me at the helm and she with which -ever line I want fastened first.
We are elderly and not that agile, especially my wife, so some help is appreciated, but with...

Re: Buying older built trimarans

I have a 1997 cedar strip epoxy catamaran, professionally built and vacuum bagged over a mold. The cedar strip hulls are great, no problems. The epoxy/ply decks have needed some attention.

Re: Planning to sail from NY to Miami fall 2002 - advice please

Think about Atlantic Highlands, NJ, that is our favourite spot at the south shore of Raritan Bay. Long breakwall and you can get a mooring or a slip or anchor at the end of the mooring field and...
