Re: Raymarine E80 startup Problem.

Problem solved with a reset using power up with left softkey held down. Described on their website but not in the original manual. Lost my navigation data, probably my fault for not having a backup!

Re: Raymarine E80 startup Problem.

Have tried a reboot without data card, no effect! Good idea to try with everything disconnected, may allow me to reset from mfd, sailing right now, try later today.
Thanks , Pete

Re: L42 drogue attachment points

I thought drogues could be attached anywhere strong enough? In anchoring situations I have learnt the hard way to keep them away from rudders and drives while in Croc infested rivers here in...

Steering Bearing Failure !

Thought the engineering on the steering system looked bulletproof on our 2007 L420 but managed to break it in pretty heavy conditions! The autopilot actually broke it, not me! Lost one rudder...

Re: Anchor Antics

Advice from another Cat owner provides I believe the best fix for this situation.

Re: Yanmar SD50/Flexifold random slipping and not engaging

Hi Tim,
Sounds like cone clutch symptoms to me. The lapping procedure not difficult and you should know how to do it if you are going to own them, especially if venturing into remote parts. Can be...

Re: Lagoon 421 water concerns?

Had our 2007 L 420 for just over 3 years, mostly live aboard. We talk in Litres here in Oz, just like the French! You guys quoting US Gal or Imperial? To the standard 2 x 175 L the boat came with an...

Re: Source of Raw Water for Sanitation?

Welcome to the Forum Juice! I am on the other side of the planet, so no idea of the legalities for you, but I can see a very small risk. If a few things went wrong could sewage wind up in the...

Re: Anchor Antics

Will try a longer bridle, but when its under the boat, not sure how this will help.

Probably should have added this is an intermittent effect, but once it starts up, I want to know how to stop it...

Anchor Antics

Looking for advice on anchoring an early L420, we have had for 3 years now. I suspect advice from other model owners will apply. We seem to “ Sail” all around the anchor in lighter and medium wind...
