Re: How Do You Store Your Jewelry ?

We have come to the conclusion to own nothing expensive other than what we wear every day, wedding ring, bracelets and necklace. The rest is fake or we have given it to children/grandchildren. Being a live a board with few personal processions, we our plan is to own nothing of worth/value that requires concern/maintenance/worry. One of the main advantages of being a live a board is stuff is little importance.

We do not lock the Eagle as there is nothing of value/worth more than the cost of replacing one of the custom teak doors. So they can take our old stuff. The only thing of value to me on the boat is my wife! Dirt people own and worry to much about their stuff. You came into this world with nothing and you will go out of this world with nothing, and worrying will shorten that time.

clean a small empty mustard jar, and paint the inside mustard yellow. When it dries, put it in a disorganized spice or condiments bin and hide your goods in plain site!

Re: How Do You Store Your Jewelry ?

There seem to be an interest in this discussion with almost 25,000 posts.

So now they know where you hide your Jewlry. So I just want to re affirm that we have NO jewelry on the boat except what we wear daily. However, we do have a couple of old heavy TV that we would not mind if somebody took, as it would save my back getting them off the boat. Maybe we should start leaving Post Its, PLEASE TAKE OUR OLD:

rw, you take a small diamond saw, cut the back off the picture tube in the TV set, and stash the jewels in there. No one will take it, CRT TVs are hazmat and even the dump won't take them. Or, is that why you've been keeping those sets around so long anyway? (G)
