I use a Cuisinart brand drip maker (110 AC) in port. I chose it because it has a stainless pot. Underway or on the hook, I use a plexiglass french press.

What do you think would be a good anchor or electric fence?

This is the deal when you are talking fresh roasted beans. 1 week after roasting they've lost half their flavor. There are local roasters virtually everywhere but, is it's not roasted locally it's real difficult to get it fresh no matter what the sales pitch is.
That being said, with good water I've had Folgers or whatever and if it's dark enough it does still have caffeine, so how bad can that be!

You pour the Nescafe into one achor fluke, then drag the electric fence across it to darken the roast. Mix seawater and the grounds and strain with a sea-anchor, catching the brew in a tin cup.

Don't wash the cup.
