Passport 40 in Europe

Hi everyone,, we are looking to buy a passport 40 but would dearly love to try before we buy.as my husband thinks it's too small for our family. .. Is there anyone in Europe that has one that we can come and look at. We are based in Germany. It would be our first boat. Looking at 1988 version I think there is one for sale in bvi... Thank you.

Re: Passport 40 in Europe

First, welcome to the forum. I have seen a few here in the U.S. From the sounds of it, your real question would be if the Passport 40 would be comfortable for your family to maybe travel in. My only suggestion is to look for a brokerage in Europe and check one out.

Hi yes, I'm trying to locate one in Europe so we can have a look.. Most of them seem to be in the US which is impossible to get to at the moment.

Re: Passport 40 in Europe

i have seen only one Passport 40 listed for sale on the side of the pond during the last five years or so. it was in the Uk two years ago

yes, they are definitely rare over here, as are so many gorgeous boats. good luck finding one to view and remember to inspect the chainplate elbows extra well on the one you survey. (Bob Perry talks about this online.)

Re: Passport 40 in Europe

Thank you, if you just hear of anyone who would be willing to show us around theirs, have a sail etc in Europe ( not for sale) so we can get a feel for it, then if we like it then we would be happy to find one further away. Thx
