New Boat owner but not new to boating

I just bought my first boat but I have been boating with parents & friends since I was 10 years old. I have seen & helped dad working on the family's pontoon boat. And been the first mate on many friends boats.
Most friends have quit boating so I decided if I wanted to stay on the water I had to have my own boat. I found a deal on a 1999 190 CC SeaRay 4.3L Alpha (190 PHP) MCM stern drive with very low hours on it.
It's not a big boat but it's what I can afford & handle myself. I'm retired & enjoy spending weekends on the river.

Welcome aboard CF, Karl. Looks like you should have a great time with your boat.

Re: New Boat owner but not new to boating

Welcome.

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.

Sea Ray is a great boat, and that engine is perfect for that size, plenty of power and economical too. When our kids were younger (and still living with us !) we had a 20 foot Bayliner Cuddy that was a blast.
