Hawaii to Mainland (Depart end of April-May)- Need a hand?

Hello,

I am currently living in Lahaina, HI. I am originally from Duluth, MN (I escaped the winter just in time). However, I would like to get back to the mainland in a few months. I am looking for a ship that needs another crew member, will be leaving towards the end of April or the first half of May and has a destination of, preferably, the West Coast. I am a college graduate (U of MN) and I have certificates in First Aid and CPR. As I mentioned, I am from Minnesota and consequently grew up on lakes. I am a novice sailor but mistakes that I do make are not repeated. I am a diligent worker who loves to travel.

Hello, boom, and welcome to the Forum.

Lahiana is a nice place to be. Our family visited a number of years ago. We found the New England whaling connection to be quite interesting, and enjoyed a day charter on a sailboat. Saw some humpbacks!

Put your name up on as many marina bulletin boards as you can. See if you can call Hawaii and Waikiki Yacht Club to have them put your name up for crew. I'll ask here if anyone is headed back to the mainland.

If you can wait until July-August, you may be able to crew on one of the returning Trans-Pac race boats.
