Good morning from Valdez

Hi, I've been reading through the forum for a few months since getting interested in sailing and finally signed up.

Right now just learning what I can from reading here and working through the NauticEd courses my wife got me.

Hoping to find a vessel spring of '25 to bring up the Inside Passage and over to the P.W. sound as the local selection is pretty limited.

Re: Good morning from Valdez

Welcome to the forum, Wanderer.

I kept a 37’ sailboat in Valdez for 14 years way back when. It is wonderful to quickly escape into Prince William Sound…

As you look for boats, don’t rule out searching SE AK and BC, Canada as well.

Have fun.

Cheers, Bill

PS: If you don’t already have a copy to whet your appetite, be sure to get a copy of the local cruising guide to PWS [initiated by Jim and Nancy Lethcoe back in the mid 1980’s… I had the privilege of proofreading their early editions…]

Re: Good morning from Valdez

Thank you both for the welcome. I did get a copy of the guide the Lethcoes made and can hardly wait to really start using it.

Welcome aboard Wanderer from a neighbour in BC. Best of luck finding that boat and meeting your goals.
