I'm going to have to agree, chala. Some posts are utter rubbish.

The more recent, the more rubbish. I can't figure out why.

Can you?

Yes, especially if it from nuclear fussion

Lack of access to affordable energy is a prime cause of poor health and environmental degradation in developing countries.

I guess some people should have one of those breathalyzer ignition interlocks on their keyboards.

Or is this just a case of terminal stupidity?

In the limit if mankind used no energy then man would become extinct. How is that good for the environment?

Then who gets to decide how much energy each person should be permitted to use?

These are a rhetorical questions in case you were wondering...

In the view of some, mankind's extinction would be the best thing that could ever happen to the environment. Not their own extinction mind you, just mankind's.

I knew about our rather notorious nurse, of course, but we have a welder & chimney sweep onboard too? How handy!

Not a belief chala, just a fact that newly discovered reserves of natural gas will be both cheaper and less harmful to the environment than burning coal & oil -- until someone comes up with something better that is. Got an alternative that is less "foolish?"

Re: Why Climate Change Won't Matter in 20 Years

About the only thing I never did was nursing. Emergency medical yes carried a 4956 NEC in navy so I guess I were a welder and I worked for an HVAC company so a chiminey sweep I was . I have many hats and credentials to boot but that has nothing to do with this cc thread.

The environment doesn't care. Only we (should) care. It's our environment (eco-system), after all.
