This getting older thing is a slippery slope. At my age and with my knees I should stay away from slippery slopes.

Hearing is not the only thing that goes...

When my wife sez to go to the store and bring home a dozen eggs, I can never be sure if she says twelve, but is thinking ten, when in actual fact she wants eight, even though only six are required.
I myself get confused on the way to the store, and wonder did she say six or four, so I only get two, but one breaks on the way home.

When I finally get home, I tell her that one is all the store had and she seems happy with that.

For those of you who are planning on mounting those Red and Blue xmas decoration lights, particularly the ones that flash, please don't. I am not a snow flake but when I see them I immediately think its the Police and I impulsively throw my beer over the side, pull on my trousers, and otherwise get tense, if I was driving my car I'd brake hard and really I'd be happy to avoid the drama and enjoy Xmas. WhIle I was out shopping for boat parts, the wife rang and said:
"Can you pick up a loaf of bread, and if they've got eggs, get a dozen"
...
Don't know why she wants that much bread, but I bought her a dozen loaves.
