Yes, I thought of that and the there is merit, but the reality is that no one who is emotionally suited to being a lifeguard would follow that argument. You hire people who GO when called.

interestingly the military take that view, you do what you are told, rather then that you think is right.

You have my permission to use it, no royalty fees required. It came to me in the heat of the moment. Btw, have you examined the backgrounds and legacies of Rousseau, Marx, Darwin, and Hegel? It takes a lot of reading and is sickening when you see what was, what could have been, and the farce we have now. No wonder I want to sail away from it all...

Not a lifeguard on a beach.

For that matter, Army medics often follow their own instincts and judgment. Many an Army medic has died saving someone else.
