BC liveaboards don't qualify for tax credit

Recently when I was filling out my tax return this year it mentioned that renters in BC Canada can now qualify and apply for a tax credit for the first time (2023 return)
So I got the email info for contacting the Ministry of Finance regarding this and sent off an email asking how I can apply for this tax credit, since I am a liveaboard of just over 10 years now. My reply was a big no because it did not apply to the moorage cost of a boat. So I tried to explain the difference between annual moorage statements and monthly liveaboard statements in my marina. Once again I got no as a reply without any explanation other than a link to the BC government page covering the eligibility requirements.

It looks to me like the only way us liveaboards are going to even get consideration for this tax credit is if we compile a petition and submit it to the BC Ministry of Finance. But I have no idea as to how to proceed with getting an official petition going or even how to reach out to all the marina liveaboard who receive a separate monthly statement showing how much they owe for the month to month "privilege" of living on their boat in a particular marina in BC.
Any suggestions out there?

Of course, that goes without saying. Plus ya gotta love how the Ministry of Finance points out, eligibility does not apply if you die before the end of the year. HAHAHA!!
